About Super Sires
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Super Sires is to foster Non-Pro riders of all skill level in all competitions recognized by the National Snaffle Bit Association (NSBA) and to support the breeding of quality bloodlines. The Super Sires will showcase the offspring of this exclusive stallion program in competition for Non-Pro, Limited and Open riders as defined in the NSBA handbook. Significant cash and prizes shall be awarded with Stallion Position Enrollment funds allocated to the participants.
The success of the Super Sires program over the past six years is credited in large part to the Executive Committee that has remained the same since the very beginning, consisting of Stephen Stephens, Russ Louderback, Gil Galyean, Steven and Sue Thompson, and Joan Schroeder. That’s with the addition of Executive Director Christa Conway, who handles telephone services, marketing, and web design.

“Our entity is not a personal gain entity. We’re a horseman-based program that’s dedicated to horsemen. At the end of the day, we’re all giving, both financially and time-wise, to make this possible.”
~Stephen Stephens

“We’ve gone carefully and methodically in building a good program that has consistently given back and will help to promote the growth of our industry.”
~Joan Schroeder

Owner Support

Stallion Owners Supporting an Innovative Program that Provides Opportunity and Longevity of Return for their Customers

Purses are funded by stallion owners

• 100% of annual stallion contributions are set aside to provide a purse that will be paid out to resulting foals of that breeding year.
• Stallion owners are provided marketing and promotion via Super Sires in the form of printed publicity, website and social media promotion as well as a presence at several venues throughout the year.
• Super Sires is guided by a group of “hands on” horsemen that have a good feel for where the industry is heading and continue to steer the program in a direction that serves the industry well.
• 2019 stallion enrollment is increasing at an impressive rate with the changes put in place by the Executive Committee, including the addition of a Hunter Under Saddle Program
